Questions & Answers (FAQ)

This section collects tips, easyfaM advice, and suggestions from our customers. This collection is intended to help you, in particular, to better customize your products. Your feedback to info@easyfaM.com that is relevant to other customers will be added to this section.

You can quickly find the topic you are looking for using the search function, or search in alphabetical order:

You can find your current and previous orders in the header (top right) in the dropdown list next to your name.

  • Define an additional rule, adapted for your child, for when they can throw a ball into the glass. This could be, for example: overcoming a personally difficult situation, achieving a goal individually tailored to your child.
  • To visualize this, add an image of this additionally defined goal to the board. You will find the white empty circle for this in the lower left corner.
  • The prize should not be too big. It’s more about the gesture. It’s even better to offer only non-monetary prizes. You’re sure to come up with many clever ideas together! E.g.:
  • Quality time alone with one parent,
  • 1 hour of tennis with Dad,
  • a stroll through town with Mom
  • choosing the destination for the next family Sunday outing
  • eating cake with Mom at the cafe
  • home cinema evening, movie selection by the winner
  • Go-karting with Dad
  • Pony riding
  • going out to the children’s favorite restaurant, etc.

You should discuss with your family members how you would like to celebrate your personal successes. This could be, for example: a hug for a new success, or a high-five from each family member.

It is important that the entry is not just made silently, but that everyone consciously receives their small attentive gesture and confirmation from the other family members! A nice break for the children in everyday family life and a small reminder for us parents to give our child extra praise.

I can’t start the videos in the training area!

To start the video coachings or open the PDF files, you first need a paid access code. You can purchase a 12-month membership, which usually ends automatically. If you are allowed to participate through your employer, you will have a secure link from them or in your employer’s intranet to log in for free. If you have any doubts or problems, please feel free to contact us.

  • Standard would be something like: Get up, wash, get dressed, have breakfast, brush teeth, put on jacket/shoes and start the day.
  • You can always add things if your child doesn’t perform them well enough, such as “pack kindergarten bag” or “comb hair,” or change the order (e.g., change clothes after breakfast).
  • Here you have many different options depending on your family habits.
  • Optional routine steps can be: come home and hang up jacket, put away shoes, wash hands, dinner, clear table, brush teeth, put on pajamas, go to bed, listen to/read a bedtime story.
  • Additional steps like “watching an evening series on TV” are not necessarily a separate routine step. You can simply paint it on the same coin next to, for example, “brush teeth.” (Make sure it is visualized there in the correct order!) Children are sufficiently self-motivated not to forget such steps. Do not assign a separate magnet for it!
  • Always consider which steps work very well, which ones you miss, or where the children hesitate. Add this process step and replace another one that is already performed automatically. This will continuously improve the routine until you no longer need the Race Board.
  • After a few weeks, the board might become boring for the children, as morning and evening routines have become routine.
  • Put the board away for a few weeks and let the children carry out their now intuitive routines.
  • After a few weeks, you can set up the board again to practice new routines or to adapt sequences and times to your children’s next developmental stage.
  • In a single-story home, choose a location between the children’s rooms and the bathroom.
  • In a multi-story apartment/house, it makes sense to agree with the children that the first one to come down from the sleeping level to the living level in the morning also brings the Race Board. This way, the board can change its location during the process routine and follow the first person in the race.
  • In general, you should ensure that the board is easily accessible to the children and that they don’t have to walk far to move their name coin. So it should be in a very central location.
  • Returns are virtually non-existent at easyfaM, because customers familiarize themselves well with the product beforehand.
  • You can return delivered goods within 14 days of receipt without risk, as long as you have not personalized (e.g., with stickers), damaged, or used the product. Products with, for example, already used stickers are excluded from refunds.
  • Digital products such as access to the coaching area / coaching membership are also excluded from withdrawal. A refund is not possible here.
  • You must bear the costs for returning the products yourself (explanation in the “Shipping Conditions” section).
  • The credit will be issued using the same payment option you used (Paypal, credit card, Sofort, etc.). It is essential that you write your full name and address on the shipping label so that we can correctly assign the credit to you.
  • Stick the return address (easyfaM GmbH & Co. KG, Fridolin-Holzer-Straße 6, D-88161 Lindenberg i.A., Germany) and your address on the package and send it off.
  • Please use the original packaging for the return and stick the label on the bottom of the box, exactly where you find the original DHL label. We would be pleased if the packaging and product can be reused.
  • Please keep your receipt for returning the item to us until the product costs have been refunded.
  • First ask yourself if you want to regulate these small things with the Taskboard. We recommend regulating the larger tasks on the Taskboard and establishing daily small things as a matter of course as soon as possible. Perhaps you use the Taskboard to establish exactly this matter of course – until it runs by itself. One day you do it quickly together, the next day someone takes over on call, etc.
  • If this is not enough, you can set up a “wandering” magnet, e.g., with the symbol “clean out stable” or “dishwasher.” This magnet is passed weekly or after completion from one Taskboard figure to the next. Place the magnet in the figure’s head to visualize whose task it is this week / today. After completion, the person passes the “wandering” magnet to the next figure and briefly informs them.
  • You can also use this method if, for example, only the two older children in the family share a specific task (e.g., cleaning the aquarium) that needs to be done weekly or daily.

Then reassign them to your personal weekly routines, for example, as follows:

  • The small bamboo columns at the base of the bamboo figures are actually intended for daily personal routines. Very valuable for children, also because parents can then praise them for desired (completed) behavior (e.g., homework done, lunchbox emptied, etc.). Done means turning to green, back to red in the evening for the next day.
  • For some parents, this is too “strenuous” or too restrictive for themselves. The sympathetic way out: Use the three columns on your figure for 3 things you want to have done each week. E.g., 3 x sports. Once done, turn to green. Or 2 x sports, 1 x time alone with your partner, or 1 x sports, 1 x dancing, 1 x family finances, etc. Stay creative and constantly develop it for yourself. Then it helps every parent in their development and regularity. No cheating 😉
  • Then the first consideration might be: What can be omitted, what can we stop doing.
  • Second consideration, if nothing can be omitted and all family members are involved: Can we regulate individual tasks as weekly responsibilities instead of single completions (e.g., waste, laundry, shopping, etc.)? If someone fails to meet their responsibility, they must ask others for support. A beautiful give and take develops within the family community.
  • Third consideration: You really want more tasks? Then you can also use the back of the figures (up to 4 additional slots per figure). If the magnets are not enough, the add-on set or the spare parts set for the Taskboard will help you. But be careful: don’t over-regulate it. Family chaos needs flexibility, freedom, and sometimes generosity, true to the motto: If we manage 80% of the important things well and independently without a fuss, then we have achieved a lot.
  • Goal achieved! What was important to you a few months ago has become self-sustaining? Perfect. Now consider what should become second nature next. Grab new stickers and cover the old sticker(s) at the base of the figure.
  • The effect is good, important, and desired. Because it means that the user of the figure has developed with their routine and mastered it. Now praise them and together consider what should become self-sustaining next, what is important to the user and to you.
  • What Johnny doesn’t learn, John will never know…. (very blunt, but often true at this point)
  • Is your son moving into a shared apartment? Then give him a Taskboard, because in a shared apartment, no one wants to hierarchically ensure that everything important to the apartment is done. So you agree once on all the things that need to be done weekly or fortnightly, set the period (1 week / 2 weeks), and everyone quietly does their part. In adult shared apartments, it has proven effective to talk more about weekly responsibilities. The Taskboard gives you all the freedom to implement your own, individual ideas and needs.

From the everyday life of the Taskboard. Here, one of the boys exceptionally failed to complete a weekly task. These were the consequences we drew – how would you have solved it?
